YUNORA is inspired by the quiet beauty of Eastern nature — clouds, mountains, light, and jade. Each stone carries its own colour, energy, and story of fortune.
The Name
Yun · Ora
In Mandarin, yun is one sound with three characters behind it, and we mean all three at once.
云 is cloud — nature, freedom, the mist that sits between mountains in a landscape painting and gives it its mystery. 韵 is grace — the restraint, balance and quietness at the centre of Eastern taste. 运 is fortune — the current a life moves along, and the luck jade has always been worn to invite.
Ora is the echo of aura: presence, energy, the light a person carries into a room. Put together, the name says what we want a piece of jade to do. Not decorate a person. Change the air around them slightly.
Those three characters became our three collections. The five colours the stone actually comes in — 水 green, 土 yellow, 火 red, 气 white, 玄 black — became everything else.

Nature, unedited
Grade A stone only. Nothing bleached, filled or dyed. What the earth made in a hundred million years does not need our improvement.
Fortune, as intention
Jade is given more often than it is bought. We design for that moment — the box, the card, the character engraved on the back.
Stillness, as luxury
The pieces are quiet on purpose. A jade you can wear for thirty years is worth more than a jade that is remarkable for one season.
Mystery, kept
We explain the stone honestly and stop there. 玄 is the dark that is not empty — the part of a landscape the cloud keeps, and the reason people have always looked into jade rather than at it.
How We Work
From rough stone
to something you keep
Jadeite is the only major gemstone still traded largely by eye and by hand. There is no substitute for standing in the room.
We buy at the source, in person
Nearly all gem-quality jadeite comes from a single region in northern Myanmar and moves through markets in Guangdong. Our buyer has worked those halls for two decades. Rough is judged from a window cut no larger than a thumbnail, under a torch, with no return policy. This is the part of the business no website can shortcut.
We cut to the stone, not to the order book
A carver's first duty is to lose as little material as possible, and the second is to place the best colour where it will be seen. That means the stone decides what it becomes — a bangle if the band runs true, a set of cabochons if it does not. We would rather ship four pieces than force out six.
We certify independently, every time
Every finished piece is tested by an independent gemmological laboratory and ships with its own report confirming natural, untreated Grade A jadeite. We pay for the test whether or not you ask for it, because the difference between Grade A and a well-made Grade B is invisible for about ten years.
We finish and ship from the United States
Setting, stringing, engraving and final polish happen at our studio, and every order ships domestically insured. If a piece does not sit right on you, it comes back within thirty days.
