YUNORA is drawn from three Chinese characters and one Western word. Yun carries three meanings at once — cloud, grace, and fortune. Ora echoes aura: presence, energy, the light a person carries.

Five Colours
Jade is never
only one colour
The same stone comes out of the ground green, yellow, red, white and black. The old Eastern reading of the world gives each of those a meaning, and we let the meaning decide what the stone becomes.
Earth
Yellow · Gold
Ground and harvest. Honey jadeite takes its warmth from iron near the surface of the deposit — fortune of the slow, accumulated kind.
Fire
Red
Warmth and protection. 红翡 forms where the stone met air and weather. It is the colour worn at a wedding, and at the turning of a year.
Air
White
Breath and clarity — the pause between two notes. White jadeite is judged not on colour but on how far light travels inside it. Stillness, made visible.
Mystery
Black
墨翠 is black in the hand and deep green against the sun. Xuan is the old word for a dark that is not empty — the night mountain, the part of the view the cloud keeps.

The Stone
Jadeite is the only stone that answers back
Struck lightly, fine jadeite rings rather than clicks. Held to light, it glows from inside instead of merely reflecting. Worn for years, it warms to the skin and its lustre deepens.
We work exclusively in Grade A jadeite — natural stone with no bleaching, no polymer impregnation, no dye. Every piece ships with an independent gemmological certificate.
Colour
Green, white, or honey — judged on hue, saturation and how evenly the colour travels through the stone.
Texture
Grain fineness. The finest stones are called glass kind — crystalline structure invisible to the eye.
Translucency
Literally water. How far light travels before it stops. This, more than colour, is what makes jade luminous.
Craft
The cut respects the stone. A carver's first duty is to lose as little of it as possible.

In Chinese tradition jade is rarely bought for oneself alone. It is given — to a daughter leaving home, to a friend beginning something, to someone who needs a little more luck than the year has offered.
The old saying is that jade protects its wearer: it takes the misfortune meant for you. We do not ask you to believe it. We only note that people have believed it for three thousand years, and that the belief is itself a kind of comfort.
Our Five Elements strand gathers all five colours onto one cord — water, earth, fire, air and mystery, in the order a year moves through them. It is the piece we most often wrap for someone else.
